State-by-State Hospice and Palliative Care Organizations
On December 18, 2018, The National Academy for State Health Policy (NASHP) released a state-by-state report on "Advancing Palliative Care for Adults with Serious Illness: A National Review of State Palliative Care Policies and Programs." This report provides a comprehensive review of how states are supporting the delivery, implementation, access to and quality of palliative care services through a variety of policy based measures.
In addition to advocacy efforts at the national level, there are many state-based groups working on advancing palliative care legislation and public policy.
