"I don’t focus on the dying part all of the time.
I might have a month or two where
I just kind of really feel drawn to education,
to learn and kind of really get into it.
Then I pull out and live. I work just as hard at living."

Living and Healing During Life-Threatening Illness
Since 1994, the Coalition has researched, tested and developed tools and resources to help health care professionals help their patients. All of our work stems from our initial research study, "Living and Healing During Life-Threatening Illness." The study revealed the experiences of those affected by a life-threatening illness and provided the launch point for all of our further investigations and research projects. We've completed two phases of work as a Coalition and our third phase continues through 2003.
The Coalition is also very involved in the end-of-life care movement that is sweeping our country. As a result, we are committed to sharing our tools and resources with others, many free of charge. And we offer connections to services, including professional experts and educational opportunities, within our Coalition and beyond to help our members and others interested in learning about opportunities to improve end-of-life care.
